Visit the RED Zone
Not sure where to go or who to ask? Stop by the RED Zone located in Vari Hall. Come by and say hello to our friendly and helpful student ambassadors. Extended hours are in place during the back-to-school period (September 7-15, 8am-5pm, excluding weekends).
York is a diverse community with more than 6,000 international students from nearly 180 countries around the world. To assist all incoming and returning international students, the York International Office provides resources such as a pre-departure guide, arrival tips, immigration information, orientation events, and ways to get to know York and the rest of Canada.
Centre for Aboriginal Student Services
The Aboriginal student population at York come from diverse experiences and upbringings. The Centre for Aboriginal Student Services (CASS) provides a space for Aboriginal students to explore, reclaim, and cultivate their histories and cultural identities. This summer, the Hart House was renamed to Skennen’kó:wa Gamig, the House of Great Peace. It will be a welcoming, safe and supportive space for Indigenous students, faculty and staff to come together.
